Tax for global justice

Reserve a spot

An exploration of radical tax justice proposals, targeting extreme wealth and the finance industry, with revenue-sharing for global justice

Tax is key for redistributing wealth within borders - but could it also move money beyond borders, to return wealth to the Global South?

And could radical taxation go further still, to tackle the contradictions within capitalism and achieve system change?

In this seminar, we explore two proposals for radical international taxation:

  • International wealth tax - Laura Bannister from Equal Right

  • International financial transactions tax - Keval Bharadia from Revolutionary Reparations

This webinar also launches the Tax for Global Justice working group, which will continue to meet six times a year to explore these ideas further and build a movement for action. To get updates or join this working group please complete the sign up form here.

This event, and the Tax for Global Justice working group, are co-hosted by Transnational Institute, Equal Right and Revolutionary Reparations. To discuss this work further please contact Laura Bannister at info@equalright.org
